Our Race Equality Pledge

In January 2023 our Race Equality Pledge was launched by our School Equality Team.

With 'Valuing Everyone' right at the heart of our vision, we want our school to have really good things in place that make sure no one is treated with disrespect because of their heritage or the colour of their skin. The Equality Team thought carefully about the wording so that the message would be strong, certain, clear and easy to understand.

Mr Roberts signed the Pledge at the launch and, since then, everyone else has signed it too, each one of us making this very important promise. 

In our school, there is no place for racism.

Making a judgement about someone because of the colour of their skin is wrong.

Valuing everyone means that everyone matters.

It means that everyone is equal so,

at Farmborough Church Primary School,

we challenge racism,

we champion race equality

& we celebrate difference.

The Equality Team 2023

The Team met with Shanze from SARI, when she visited shortly after the launch and she told them how proud she was of their work on such an important issue. 

As signatories to the Banes Race Equality Charter for Schools, our school's pledge confirms our commitment to make sure our words, our actions and our attitudes truly value and respect everyone - every day.
