Conversion to an academy is completed

On November 1st 2017, we converted to an academy and joined The Partnership Trust multi-academy trust. The official announcement was made in a letter to families as follows:

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am writing to inform you of a great change for our school today, as we have completed the process to become an academy. At the same time, we are very pleased to have joined The Partnership Trust multi-academy trust group of schools. This is a growing trust and currently consists of:

Fosse Way School

The Bath and Mendip Partnership Teaching School

The Mendip School

Marksbury CofE Primary School

Hayesdown First School

Nunney First School

Moorlands Federation Infant and junior Schools

Whilst this is a historic day for us and a big change in many ways, there are many things that will stay the same. We will still be called Farmborough Church Primary School and have the same staff, buildings, uniform and class structure. Most importantly, we will retain our identity and ethos and continue to be a friendly, welcoming village school that values its church school distinctiveness and family feel. Furthermore, our focus on high standards of attainment and behaviour to enable children to fulfil their potential as an individual and have a memorable time at school through enjoying lots of great opportunities, will remain the same. We hope that as an academy we will now have more freedom to do even more things and to collaborate further with other schools on projects and events.

I would like to thank everyone who has worked so hard over the past three years to achieve this – staff, governors and colleagues at The Partnership Trust – and to all of you for your support this past year.

With best wishes as we embark on this new era,

Darren Roberts
